Our vision is a world where young women are valued, can make choices and look forward to a fairer financial future. We believe companies have a pivotal role to play in helping us achieve this.
Currently young women earn £4000 less a year than men of the same age. Young men are much more likely to say they have the support they need to progress in their careers – 64%, compared to just 56% of young women.
At Young Women’s Trust, we are working tirelessly to combat this. We help young women in England and Wales to understand their rights, get free coaching and advice, and campaign for fairer workplace practices. We also work with key decision makers to influence the system to change its policies and employment practices.
Coaching with Jan from Young Women’s Trust made such a difference to my confidence at a time when a string of rejections and a tough job market had really got me down and made me question my abilities.

Her advice on structuring answers, and identifying the key things interviewers are looking helped me take a step back and look at my approach from a new perspective.
