Young Women’s Trust, the charity campaigning for an equal world of work, has announced the appointment of Katharine Sacks-Jones as its new Chief Executive.
Katharine will officially take over from Claire Reindorp, who has successfully led the charity for the last four years, on 16 March 2026.
With nearly 20 years in the third sector, Katharine has dedicated her career to social justice and social change. Formerly, Chief Executive of Become, the national charity for children in care and young care leavers, Katharine campaigned for the reform of children’s social care. Under her leadership, Become grew significantly and she successfully put those with lived experience at the front and centre of the charity’s work, a core value of Young Women’s Trust.
Prior to that Katharine became the first Chief Executive of Agenda Alliance for women and girls, where she brought together 90 charity partners and established the Women’s Mental Health Taskforce, which she co-chaired with the health minister. During this time, she also became a member of the Minister Advisory Board on Female Offenders.
Commenting on her appointment, Katharine said: “I’m really excited to be joining Young Women’s Trust. The challenges facing young women in 2026 remain huge: sexism, precarious work, unfair and illegal treatment and discrimination in the workplace and across society.
“I look forward to working with the brilliant team and trustees to support young women and champion their voices. I am determined that together we will bring about the changes so urgently needed to deliver a fairer future for all young women.”
Welcoming Katharine into the role, Emma Norris, Chair of Young Women’s Trust, said: “We are excited to welcome Katharine to the charity at a time when young women are facing very serious challenges. She is a powerful leader and campaigner, and her experience will strengthen our place at the forefront of the fight for young women’s rights.
“I know Katharine will drive forward our mission to create a world where young women are valued, can make real choices, and secure a fairer financial future. I also want to thank Claire Reindorp for her truly transformational impact over the past four years and wish her every success for the future.”
