Free, friendly, flexible... and now on film!
Work It Out is a great service, it offers young women free, friendly and flexible support when they need it most – battling through unemployment and uncertainty towards a brighter future. Since launching last year we’ve supported almost two hundred women and the feedback they’ve given us has been so encouraging, we wanted to share it. But not just in our words – in theirs!
We wanted to make a film about Work It Out, but because coaching is done online or over the phone, there’s not a lot to ‘show’. At least that’s what I thought until I saw the young women in the film get together, then I realised that seeing them share their experience, in their own words, showed everything that you needed to see about Work It Out.
Having made films as a student I always found making them exciting, but I was totally blown away by how brilliant the young women were in front of the camera. It was really rewarding to see them all chatting, getting ready and then just going for it and speaking out. We had a brilliant day and I couldn’t be more pleased with what we’ve come out with, as they tell their different stories about how they heard about Work It Out, how easy it was to speak with a coach, and most importantly, how it helped them.
There was so many great moments it was hard to cut it down to the 3 minute final version, but we got there in the end! You can see the finished film below, I hope you enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed making it, and please do help us spread the word by sharing it on your Facebook pages, twitter etc.!
